Advantages and disadvantages of social networking
Social networking is defined as the grouping of people and connect with each other through a platform, such as internet. For this advanced technology era, social networking are quite common nowadays.
Social networking has definitely bring a lot of advantages for us. First and foremost, social networking is very low cost. You just have to set up your own internet connection, then you can start your social networking through websites and others application. Compare to go out and spend your time, petrol and use money to socialize with people, social networking is rather affordable.
Besides, social networking enables us to easily get connected with people, no matter where the people are. What you need is just a computer and internet to start your conversations with each other. Our distances are getting closer through the social networking. Some of the people also succeed to find their long lost contact friend through social networking. The world become smaller because of the social networking.
Social networking also improved our social skills eventually. We can meet various kind of people through this social networking. We shared the feelings, information to each other. We can know more about this world and can think broader. Through blog, we can comment on the article and made each other to improve. This helps our social skills a lot.
However, things have their pron and corns. Because of the social networking, some of the problems arise too. Social networking provides a platform for some people to do cheating. They tend to create a fake identity with a good looking picture and start to cheat the others. Some of them are just too bored, bit for some serious case, they will use this fake identity to carry out the criminal case, such as kidnap, raping, and so forth.
Social networking do not really prepare a safe security for the users too. The users's information might be stole by somebody else out of the control. The hackers can hack people account and use your account to do some illegal cases. This is definitely the biggest worries for all the users.
As a conclusion, we should use the social networking wisely to protect ourselves and enjoy the benefits that can gained from the social networking. Do not ever get addicted into the virtual world or else you will regret.

Introduction of AHMC 2954 Cyber Society And Communication
During the first lecture of this subject, when I heard about the word "cyber society", the computers were appearing inside my mind. I believe I am going to learn about the computer mediated communication which also known as online communication throughout this subject. By the way, as I think deeper, cyber society is not just limited to the computer. Nowadays there are other tools can let us accessed to the internet too such as hand phone. We truly cannot deny that we are living in a cyber society in this advanced technology ages. We are surrounded by the communication tools, just for example, hand phone has become one of the item for most of us that we cant live without. And every home at least will have one computer with internet. For those who do not have internet, the cyber cafe are just situated near of our housing area. What u need to do is just pay for the internet accessed.
However, online communication is not only limited to the tools. Many application has emerged to enrich our communication society. The most popular one of course belong to the facebook. Others also included windows live messanger, blog, twitter and so forth. These are the applications who used by most of the people, for entertainment, social communication, information exchange, or other purposes.
As a conclusion,I definitely feel excited when see this subject in this semester. I can learn more about the cyber society, how it works, how can it be so popular nowadays, and also using some of the applications in the internet with my coursemates! I hope we can enjoy while we learning something new! =)
